Introduction
Travel to Sawai Madhopur by train in the first class. On arrival transfer to the Tiger Moon Resort for 2 nights. Ranthambore is a dry deciduous forest with rocky hill crests and open valleys dotted with water pools and fruit trees. The one thousand year old fortress of Ranthambore looms above the forest. The park is home to the sambar deer, the nilgai, wild boar, bear, panther, tiger and a variety of birds including the partridge, green pigeon and red spurfowl.
 
 
Detail Itinerary
Day 01 Arrive Delhi in the morning. You will be met and transferred to the hotel for 1 night. The day is at leisure or explore this historical city.

Day 02 In the morning travel to Sawai Madhopur by train in the first class. On arrival transfer to the Tiger Moon Resort for 2 nights. Ranthambore is a dry deciduous forest with rocky hill crests and open valleys dotted with water pools and fruit trees. The one thousand year old fortress of Ranthambore looms above the forest. Day 03 Morning and afternoon jungle visits.

Day 04 Morning another game drive. At midday enjoy a train ride in first class to Bharatpur. Transfer to the Saras Tourist Bungalow (very basic) for 1 night. Bharatpur is one of the finest bird sanctuaries in the world with over 300 species in season. The most common species here are the Siberian Cranes, Cormorants, Open Billed and Painted Storks, Spoon Bills, Quails, Coots, Herons, Teals, Terns, Egrets, Pelicans, Ibis’, and Darters. It is best experienced punting through the rushes on cycle-rickshaws. Evening and next morning at leisure to explore the sanctuary.

Day 05 Afternoon leave for Agra by car visiting Fatehpur Sikri en route. Stay at the hotel for one night.
Day 06 In the morning visit the sights of Agra including the Taj Mahal. Evening board an overnight train for Umaria, in air - conditioned sleeper.

Day 07 Arrive Umaria in the morning and transfer to the Bandhavgarh National Park. Check into the Tiger Trails Resort for two nights. The park is situated in the Vindhya Hills with an undulating terrain and is home to Chital or Spotted Deer, Black Bucks, Gaur, Sloth Bears, Sambar, Nilgai , Barking Deer, Leopards and Tigers. The rich and varied bird-life includes Golden Orioles, Parakeets, Hornbills and Partridges. Visit park in the afternoon.

Day 08 Full day of jungle activities.

Day 09 Morning drive to Kanha National Park , one of the largest and best managed parks in the country . Kanha has some 22 species of mammals. Most commonly sighted are t he Three Striped Palm Squirrel, Common Langur, Jackal , Chital or Spotted Deer, Barasingha or Swamp Deer and Black Bucks. Less commonly seen are the Tiger , Indian Hare , Dhole or Indian Wild Dog and Bison or Gaur. Rarely sighted are the Indian Fox, Sloth Bear, Striped Hyena, Panther and the Mouse Deer. There are over 200 species of birds which are best viewed in the hills where the mixed and bamboo forest harbour many. Stay 3 nights at the Wild Chalet Resort.

Day 10 Enjoy 2 full day of Jungle activities.

Day 11 - do -

Day 12 Morning transfer to Jabalpur station for the overnight train journey back to Delhi, in air-conditioned sleeper.

Day 13 Arrive Delhi in the morning and transfer to the Oberoi Maidens. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight.
